Standard Business Sponsorship

In order to sponsor an employee, your company will need to be approved as a Standard Business Sponsor. To achieve this, your business must show the Department that you meet a number of different requirements, that range from business structure and trading activities, to meeting training benchmarks.

At PocketLegal, we specialise in getting your business through these hoops, minus the hassle. We worked with clients across many sizes and industries, from local hospitality to large scale global firms. Our practice leaders will handle your business sponsorship from start to finish, to make hiring or keeping great talent easier than ever.

Let’s get your business approved to sponsor employees

Our services don’t end once we’ve secured your Standard Business Sponsorship. When you want to sponsor an employee, we’ll already know your business, and can advise on and apply for the most appropriate visa to meet your needs.

How long does Standard Business Sponsorship last for?

When your Standard Business Sponsorship is approved, it will usually last for five years. If your business has been established for less than 12 months, then your business sponsorship approval may expire after 18 months.

If you sponsor a large number of employees, we may also be able to help your business to become an accredited sponsor. Accredited sponsors receive priority processing of visa applications, and have an uncapped number of sponsorship places. This kind of sponsorship lasts for a period of six years.

How can I renew my businesses Standard Business Sponsorship?

To renew your business sponsorship, you will need to show that you have complied with all the conditions set out in your previous sponsorship. These include training requirements, record keeping, and complying with Department requests. We can process your renewal for you, to make it easy for you to continue hiring.
